Used to specify general foundation configuration for a vibrating machine foundation.

Setting	Description
Machine Block ID	Type a string used to identify the machine block foundation.
Unit	Select the units used for specifying length in the input fields.
Foundation Type	Choose the foundation type based on the machine configuration supported: Single Block Combined Block Combined Block with Gearbox
Machine Type	Chose the machine type supported. This is used to generate the dynamic loading. Rotating Reciprocating Note: Reciprocating machines may only be supported on single block foundations.
Global Reference Point	Type X, Y, and Z offsets to position the reference point in the Geometry View.
Resonance Check	Type a resonance limit (in percent) for machine and foundation frequencies. This limit will be checked for all modes. By default, a resonance limit of 20% is used.
Meshing Setup	Select finite element meshing parameters for the automatically generated mesh used in the STAAD analysis. Setting Description Meshing Type Select a mesh type based on the element geometry used: Quadrilateral - only four-sided elements are used. Mixed Quad - four- and three-sided elements are used
Target Maximum Mesh Size	Type the largest edge length to be used for mesh elements.
